Strawberries are back in season, and this simple syrup is one of my favorite ways to use them. It’s sweet, slightly salty, and packed with real strawberry flavor. It's perfect for everything from coffee to cocktails.
Looking for something I used in this video like the cups, hand frother, glassware, etc. you can find it here!
Ingredients
1 cup diced strawberries
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Add the diced strawberries, sugar, and water to a small saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer and let it cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once it’s off the heat, stir in the salt and vanilla. Let it cool, then strain and store in the fridge. It’ll keep for up to 2–3 weeks.
Ways I Use It
Strawberry Mocha Frappe – Sweet, chocolatey, and iced.
Strawberry Basil Vodka Soda – Refreshing and slightly herbal.
Strawberry Arnold Palmer – Just add it to lemonade and iced tea.
Try it out this summer, and feel free to experiment. It’s one of those recipes that makes everything taste a little more like summer.
